Stone-coated metal roofing tiles can be classified into two main categories based on tile shape.
One category features classic appearances and simple lines, such as Classical 7-Wave Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles, Shingle Style Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles, and Roman Style Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles, which are easy to install and replace and suitable for various roofs.
The other category includes innovative roofing solutions, such as Bamboo Style Long Span Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles, Arc Style Long Span Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles, and Tudor Style Long Span Stone Coated Metal Roof Tiles, which use a self-locking design to reduce construction time and labor costs, and provide better resistance to harsh weather.
Stone-coated metal roofing tiles are high-performance roofing tiles made from an aluminum-zinc steel base, fingerprint-resistant coating, sintered colored granules, acrylic resin adhesive, and acrylic topcoat.
Aluminum-Zinc Steel: Aluminum-zinc steel consists of 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. Its workability and Coating property are similar to galvanized steel, with a normal service life of 30 to 50 years, compared to 10 to 20 years for galvanized steel.
Fingerprint-Resistant Coating: The fingerprint-resistant coating protects the aluminum-zinc layer and enhances the adhesion between the aluminum-zinc steel and colored granules. This coating is available in clear and light green colors.
Sintered Colored Granules: Sintered colored granules serve as the decorative layer and base protection layer of the metal tiles. Made from specific-sized basalt particles, they undergo high-tech coloring and sintering processes. They are available in over a dozen colors, can withstand UV exposure, and reduce noise from rain on the metal tiles.
Acrylic Adhesive: Acrylic adhesive is crucial for bonding the steel plates and granules, while the acrylic topcoat protects the granules from rainwater infiltration, extending the color longevity of the granules.
1. Lightweight: Weighs about 6 kg per square meter, making it one of the lighter roofing materials.
2. Weather Resistance: The aluminum-zinc steel with multilayer surface treatment withstands harsh weather conditions effectively.
3. Long Lifespan: Offers a service life of up to 50 years, which is longer than most traditional roofing materials.
4. Strong Three-Dimensional Effect: The steel provides excellent plasticity and stereo sense is stronger.
5. Low Loss: Low transportation costs with minimal loss during handling.
6. Fast Installation: Large, lightweight tiles combined with modern tools allow for faster installation, averaging 15-25 square meters per person per hour compared to 5-10 square meters for concrete tiles.
7. Eco-Friendly: Environmentally friendly materials that lower structural load requirements, saving costs on walls and roofs.
8. Thermal Insulation: The air cavity formed at the back promotes air circulation, providing effective insulation.
9. Fire Resistance: Laboratory tests show that after 30 minutes of flame exposure, the tiles do not ignite, and there is no molten dripping, demonstrating high stability under high temperatures.
10. Sound Insulation: The colored granules reduce noise from rain, and the audio that is sensitive to the human ear (250-1000 Hz) has a good sound insulation effect
11. Frost Resistance: No delamination after 200 freeze-thaw cycles in water, maintaining integrity in harsh conditions.
